Northern Expands Personal Finances Chief's Role

Northern Trust has expanded Jeffery Kauffman's role - president and chief executive of Personal Financial Services in the Northeast of the US - to include the leadership of PFS in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia-Pacific, aiming to strengthen its global vision of wealth management. Kauffman will now serve as managing director of PFS EMEA and Asia Pacific, reporting to PFS president Sherry Barrat. Kauffman, whose latter role focused on the ultra high net worth segment, has served in his US-based role since 2006. Prior to this he was president and CEO of the greater New York area from 2003. He has also worked as a managing director at Goldman Sachs. "We are increasingly focused on bringing a broad spectrum of innovative wealth management solutions to clients across the globe," said Kauffman. Northern Trust Corporation is a provider of investment management, asset and fund administration, banking solutions and fiduciary services for corporations, institutions and affluent individuals worldwide. Northern Trust, a financial holding company based in Chicago, has offices in 18 U.S. states and 16 international locations in North America, Europe, the Middle East and the Asia-Pacific region. As of 30 September 2010, Northern Trust had assets under custody of $3.9 trillion, and assets under investment management of $657.2 billion.
